Delete Your Account & Data

You have the right to delete your account and all associated data. We provide a secure deletion process using your unique Deletion Token.

What is a Deletion Token?

When you create an account in Abloom, you receive a unique 12-character Deletion Token. This token allows you to request account deletion even if you no longer have access to the app. It looks like this:

How to Find Your Deletion Token

  1. Step 1: Open the Abloom app on your device
  2. Step 2: Go to Settings (gear icon)
  3. Step 3: Scroll to the Account section
  4. Step 4: Look for "Deletion Token" - your unique token will be displayed there
  5. Step 5: Write down your token and store it securely
IMPORTANT: Save your Deletion Token in a secure place when you first create your account. If you lose access to your device and the app, you will need this token to request account deletion.

Delete Your Account

Enter your Deletion Token below to permanently delete your account and all associated data:

Alternative: You can also email us at mbviksva@gmail.com with your deletion token if you prefer.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
  • Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
  • Your partner will be disconnected and need to start fresh if they want to continue using Abloom
  • If you are the Premium subscriber, your partner will lose Premium access
  • You must cancel your subscription separately through the App Store or Google Play Store - deleting your account does NOT cancel billing
  • We will process your deletion request within 30 days

If you still have access to the app, you can find your token in Settings > Account > Deletion Token.

If you no longer have access to the app or device, contact us at mbviksva@gmail.com with as much identifying information as possible. We may be able to help verify your identity through alternative means, though this process takes longer.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get started with Abloom?

Download Abloom from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). Open the app - you'll automatically have an anonymous account created. Share your invite code with your partner to connect as a couple. Once connected, you'll receive a daily question to answer together!

How do I connect with my partner?

One partner generates an invite code from the app and shares it with their partner. The other partner enters this code to connect. Once connected, you're paired as a couple and can see each other's answers after both of you respond to the daily question.

Are my answers private?

Yes! Your answers are encrypted end-to-end using AES-256-CBC encryption. Only you and your partner can decrypt and read each other's answers. We cannot read your encrypted answers on our servers. After both partners sync their answers, encrypted data is deleted from our servers - your answer history is stored only on your local devices.

What happens if I miss a day?

No worries! While your relationship growth (Bonsai/mascot) may experience a small decrease for missed days, you can always continue with the next day's question. The focus is on building a habit over time, not perfection.

Is the app free to use?

Abloom offers a free tier with access to daily questions and limited bucket list items (3) and important dates (3). Premium subscription unlocks unlimited bucket list items, unlimited important dates, bonus questions, and mascot customization. A 3-day free trial is available with the weekly subscription.

Does my partner need to subscribe too?

No! One subscription covers both partners. When either partner subscribes to Premium, both automatically receive full Premium access. This is tracked at the couple level, so you only need one subscription per couple.

Troubleshooting

My partner's answer isn't showing

Both partners must answer the question before either can see the other's response. Make sure your partner has submitted their answer and that both devices have internet connectivity. Try pulling down to refresh on the main screen.

My invite code isn't working

Invite codes expire after 24 hours. Ask your partner to generate a new code if the current one has expired. Make sure you're entering the code exactly as shown, including any dashes.

I'm not receiving notifications

Check that notifications are enabled in your device settings for Abloom. Also verify your notification preferences within the app (Settings > Notifications). Make sure "Do Not Disturb" mode isn't blocking notifications during your preferred reminder times.

My partner lost their phone/account

If your partner loses access to their account, you can help them reconnect! Go to Settings > Partner Section > "My partner lost their account" to generate a new invite code. Your partner can join using this code and will be reconnected to your existing couple account.

App crashes or won't open

Try closing the app completely and reopening it. If the problem persists, restart your device. Make sure you have the latest version installed from the App Store or Google Play Store. If issues continue, please contact support with your device model and OS version.

Premium features not working after subscription

First, try closing and reopening the app. Premium status should sync automatically. If you just subscribed, it may take a few minutes. Make sure you're logged into the same Apple ID or Google account used for the purchase. Contact support if issues persist.

Subscription Management

How do I cancel my subscription?

For iOS (Apple App Store):

  1. Open the Settings app on your iOS device
  2. Tap your Apple ID at the top of the screen
  3. Tap "Subscriptions"
  4. Find "Abloom" and tap it
  5. Tap "Cancel Subscription"

For Android (Google Play Store):

  1. Open the Google Play Store app
  2. Tap the profile icon in the top right
  3. Tap "Payments & subscriptions" then "Subscriptions"
  4. Find "Abloom" and tap it
  5. Tap "Cancel subscription"

How do I request a refund?

We do not process refunds directly. All payments are handled by Apple App Store or Google Play Store. For refunds, please contact:

Google: Contact Google Play Store support through your Google Play account

You can cancel during the 3-day free trial (weekly subscription) to avoid being charged.

What happens to my partner's access if I cancel?

If you're the subscriber, your partner will also lose Premium access when your subscription ends. Premium access is shared at the couple level, so cancellation affects both partners. Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period.
